She married Major Andrew J. Poppleton, 2 December 1855, at Council Bluff, Iowa. He was born 24 July 1830 at Troy, Michigan. The had 4 children, Ellen E. Poppleton, b. 1856; Mary Zada Poppleton, b. 1859, d. 1862; William Poppleton, b. 1866, and Mary Delia Poppleton, b. 1873, later the wife of Myron Leonard, an attorney in Omaha, Nebraska.
