Caroline Homes was born in Boston in 1801. She married in Boston, 19 June, 1823, her cousin, William Crafts. They resided at Charleston, S. C., and were without children. He died at Lebanon Springs, N. Y., 23 Sep 1820, at the age of 39. Caroline married (second) in Boston 3 Dec., 1820, Caleb Andrews, son of David and Sarah (Thaxter) Andrews of Hingham, Mass.,(His second marriage.) They had one child, Francis Eugene Andrews, born 23 Sep 1841, died about 1873 or 1874. Caleb Andrews was an importer of silks in Boston, and amassed a handsome property. He died in Boston 12 Sept., 1853, age 65 yrs., 11 mos., 5 days. His widow Caroline continued to reside in Boston until her death, which occurred 4 Apr 1877, at the age of 76.
