    Caroline Buff identifies herself as "divorced", 50 yo. born in Germany head of the household including a daughter Emma Buff 12 yo, a son Frank Buff 14 yo and a son George Duncan 24 yo. Caroline is probably the widow of Joseph Duncan who remarried a man named Buff.

That I made said copy from said Record which is now the possession of Caroline Buff who was late Caroline Duncan. That I have no interest in the application of Duncan's widow for pension. Witness my hand and affixed said this 5th day of July 1867. Lewis Potter Notary Public. Births: Josephine Duncan was born September 5, 1849. Laura Catharine Duncan was born January 26, 1852. George Lewis Duncan was born January 16, 1855. William Duncan Duncan was born August the 16th 1857. James Black Duncan was born January 6, 1860. Joseph Duncan was born May 26,1863. Deaths: James Black Duncan died May 25, 1860. Joseph Duncan died December 13, 1865."
