She is on 1860 census, age 4 , with parents Marion Twp., Hocking Co., Oh., [p 157 fam #1057/1015] The 1870 census gives us Caroline, age 11, with her parents there.[p 506 fam #212/215] We see Jacob, brother of John, who married Sarah Daubenmire (#19.9) in this family on the 1850 census, Marion Twp., Hocking Co., Oh. Father Jacob is 45, and a farmer from Germany. Hellenah, 25, is caring for their children. Jacob is age 5. [fam #211/217] On 1860 census, Jacob, 15, is with his parents in Marion.[p 855 fam #428/428] On their marriage record she is listed as "Caroline Disbonnet." On the 1880 census we find them in Falls Twp., Hocking Co., Oh. Jacob, 30, is a farmer, born in Oh. of German parents. Wife Caroline, 25, cares for the children.[p 22B fam #88/89] 1900 census shows them in Marion Twp., Hocking Co., Oh. Jacob's date of birth and age have been printed over, making the figures unreadable, but birth month given as July. It almost looks like 1845 and age 55, but this not clear. Caroline states she born Jan 1856, is now 44, they have been married 27 years and she has born 15 children, 13 alive at this time! The children at home on this census plus those listed on the 1880 census total 13 children.[ED 32, p 13A & B, fam #114/114] In 1910, Jacob 65, still lists himself as a farmer. Caroline, 56, states they have been married 35 years and she has born 15 children, 12 alive at this time.[ED 88, p. 9B, fam #182/183)
