    Caroline and Louise may have been the same person. Louise did not appear in Mace's household in 1850. The memorial to Caroline True (Harmon) Clough by her daughter Mary states the she left only 4 children. It is possible that Caroline L. preceded her in death. In a deposition for a widows pension that Mary gave in 1919, she states that she had one brother and three sisters, none then living.
