In Brookfield, N. Y., at the residence of Samuel Jorden, Oct. 23d, 1878, after a long and singular illness, Miss Caroline L. Babcock, aged 48 years. As this sister lived a Christian life, so she died as the Christian dieth. She was a faithful member of the 2d Brookfield Church, always at the prayer meetings, as well as the other services of the church. J. M. T.
