The Glenwood City Tribune, Vol 31, Nbr 34: May 6, 1920 "Death of Mrs. Albert John" At her home in the town of Forest on April 30th occurred the death ofMrs. Albert John, the cause being diabetes, from which she had sufferedfor several years. The funeral was held Monday at one o'clock from St.John's Lutheran church, Forest, Rev. Kitzerow officiating. Interment wasmade in the church cemetery. Mrs. John was sixty-six years and elevenmonths old. She was born in Pommern, Germany, and came to this countrywith her husband in 1890. They lived at Chaska, Minn., for eight yearsand then settled in the town of Forest where they have since resided.Mrs. John was a Christian woman of the perserving pioneer type, asplendid mother and a kind friend. She leaves to mourn her loss herhusband: one daughter, Mrs. Carl Bamburg; one son, Reinhard John; onebrother, Ferd. Zemke of Clayton; and five grandchildren.
