Daily Herald (Arlington Heights, IL) - September 22, 1998 Deceased Name: Carol Flory of Elgin Services for Carol Flory 75, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Highland Ave. Church of the Brethren. Rev. Donald Shank will officiate. Born Dec. 15, 1922, in Elgin, the daughter of Leo and May Holden Smith, she died Monday, Sept. 21, 1998, at home. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park. She was a member of the church, board member of Ecker Center and manager of Elgin Shop and Share. Carol was also a member of the Elgin Woman's Club, Brethren employees credit union and past chairman of the board. Survivors include her daughter, Marcia Peterson of McHenry; son, Michael (Nancy) Flory of Elgin; grandchildren, Kristin Wolff of Oregon, Stephany Wolff of Ohio, Bryan Flory of Elgin and Bethany Stiltner of Pennsylvania; and dear friend, John Zepp of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry in 1987; one son; and one sister. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin.
