(Medical):Contacted scarlet fever in Jan 1938 and mastoiditis in Feb 1938. The mastoiditis caused her to bleed from her ears. She died 3 weeks before the birth of my father.

Carol Mae Park, 4, Dies After Long Illness at Fostoria
Carol Mae Park, four, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Park of 655 west North street, Fostoria and formerly of Fremont, died Monday at 6:30 p.m. at her home: .in Fostoria, following a nine-month Illness of mastoid complications.
Carol had undergone her fifth operation for mastoids Monday morning.
She had been in critical condition since Saturday. During her, illness she had undergone nine blood transfusions.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9 a. m., at St. Joseph's Catholic church, and burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery, Fremont. The Rev. Ruess of St. Wendelin's church, Fostoria, of which she was a member, will officiate.
She was born February 19 1934, In Fremont, a daughter of Wilson and Lucy Widman Park, both natives. of Fremont. The mother was a graduate of St. Joseph's school and the father of Ross high.
Surviving besides the parents are two sisters Elizabeth Ann Park, seven, and Mary Jane Park, six; one, brother, William Park, two; the paternal grandmother, Mrs. George Hughes of Ohio avenue; the maternal grandfather, Henry Widman of Fremont, R. F. D.; and many other Fremont relatives
