Services have been announced for two Center Valley men who were killed Tuesday in a near head on collision in front of the Salisbury Township Municipal Building, 3000 S. Pike Ave.
Services for Carmine J. Talotta, 51, of 169 Aberdene St., will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Weber Funeral Home, 1619 Hamilton St., Allentown. A calling hour will precede the services. Services for Wilfredo deJesus, 28, of 2085 Main St., will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the C.W. Templeton Funeral Home, 326 Main St., Hellertown. A calling hour will precede the services.
DeJesus was traveling south of S. Pike Avenue when his car crossed into the northbound lane, striking the Talotta vehicle nearly head-on, said Patrolman William C. Updegrove. Lehigh County Coroner Robert Weir said the cause of death in both cases was multiple injuries.
Talotta was the husband of Marianne L. (Wotring) Talotta.
Talotta was a supervisor at Western Electric Co., Allentown Works, where he was employed for 34 years.
Born in Cementon, he was a son of Joseph Talotta of Cementon and the late Elizabeth (Korpics) Talotta.
Surviving with his widow and father are two sons, Jon P. of Allentown; three brothers, Ralph Talotta of Catasauqua, Joseph Talotta of Allentown and John Spanitz of Cementon; eight sisters, Adeline, wife of Graydon Holland of St. Petersburg, Fla., Maria, wife of Lloyd Hawk, and Hilda, wife of Joseph Bondra, both of Conshohocken, Mrs. Emma Kerrigan of Philadelphia, Josephine, wife of Robert Blose of Cementon, Bette, wife of Ignatz Schwab, both of Reading, and Rose, wife of Alan Ebert of Allentown, and a grandchild.
