ZWINGLE, Iowa - Carl D. Kemerer, 93, of 16587 Washington Mill Road, Zwingle, died at 8:50 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2002, at Ennoble Manor Care Center, Dubuque.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Harmony United Church of Christ, Zwingle, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Siegert-Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., Dubuque, and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
He was born on May 31, 1908, in Zwingle, son of Daniel and Anna (Faust) Kemerer. He married Faye Kifer on Aug. 26, 1939; she passed away on March 29, 1969.
He was born and raised in Zwingle, and farmed there most of his life.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Vineta (Kifer) Preston.
He also was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Audree; and a special friend, Bernice Troester.
Memorials may be given to Harmony United Church of Christ, Zwingle, and Hospice of Dubuque.
