 Fostoria -- Carl E Fox, 81, of Tiffin, and formerly of CO Rd 226, Fostor ia, died at 4 p.m.  Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at Fostoria Community Hospit al.

 He was born Sept. 23, 1920, in Fostoria to John D and Effie Mae (Stult z) Fox. He married Mary Jane Mabus on June 30, 1943, at St. Wendelin Catho lic Church, Fostoria, and she survives.

 Also surviving are two sons, John of Republic; Richard of Tiffin; a daug hter, Mrs. Michael (Virginia) Donaldson, Canton MI.; five grandchildre n; a sister, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Stainbrook, Bowling  Green.

 He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Fox; three sisters, Lu lu Zuern, Clara Siegchrist and  Bessie Clouse.

 Mr. Fox was a retired farmer and employee of St. Wendelin High School, F ostoria.

 He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, 55 Plus Club and Loud on Center Grange, all of  Fostoria.

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at t he church. Burial will be in the  parish cemetery.

 Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Hoening Funer al Home, Fostoria, where a Christian wake service will be held at 8:30 p. m. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

 Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or the church.
