On the 1910 census he was living with his mother and new step-father, Harry Eisman. The Parkersburg News Parkersburg, WV Thursday, Jan. 8, 1987 Captain A. Knotts Captain A. Knotts, 86, of Belrock Avenue, Belpre [Ohio], died at St. Joseph's Hospital Tuesday evening following an extended illness. He was born in Calhoun County, W.Va., a son of the late E. C. Knotts and Arminta Knotts Eismon. He had spent his early life there. He lived in Canton, Ohio, for 20 years and moved to Belpre in 1971. He was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple and attended the Belpre Church of Christ. He was a farmer and a merchant by trade. He was a member of the Lindon Masonic Lodge No. 3 AF & AM. He is survived by one son, Edward C. Knotts of Leachtown, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Roscoe Eismon of Cleveland, Ohio. He was married to Eva Cole, who preceded him in death in 1969, along with two daughters, Iris Murlean Douglas and Betty Delores Pappas. Funeral services will be Saturday, 9:30 a.m., at the Spencer Funeral Home, 220 Main St., Belpre. Graveside services will be Saturday, 1:30 p.m. in Sunset Hills Burial Park, Everhard Road, North Canton, Ohio.
