Camea O. Frick, 1913-2006, Lee's Summit
Camea Cook Frick, 92, of Lee's Summit, formerly of Smithton, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, in Lee's Summit. She was born Nov. 17, 1913, in Smithton, a daughter of John and Christina Schmidt Cook.
On Jan. 29, 1937, in Reno, Nev., she was married to Reinhard F. Frick, who died Aug. 22, 1991.
Mrs. Frick enjoyed having social parties, when she lived in California. She moved to Smithton in She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sedalia, where she was known for sitting in the back of the church on the left-hand side. She enjoyed gardening and collecting orange glass.
Surviving are a sister, Dollie Schwartz, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren, Jason Thoren, of Overland Park, Kan., Alexandria Paunovich, Adriana Ducasse and Jonathan Frick Jr., all of California; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ken Tatkenhorst officiating. Private burial will be in Smithton Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call after 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Wilshire at Lakewood Nursing Home, in care of the funeral home.
