Calvin Parton lived in Knox County, Kentucky in 1850. By March 1862 Calvin and Sarah were living in Missouri (s2). Sarah died in March of 1862. I have not been able to locate the family in 1860.

Shortly after Sarah's death, Calvin joined the civil war on the union side in the 4th provisional Militia in Missouri in company I. Upon discharge, he married a civil war Widow, Jane Bly (nee Brittain) at Princeton, Mercer County, Missouri on the 28th of May 1865. Jane had several children from her marriage to James Bly. Calvin filed for guardianship of the children and for a time was allowed the guardianship. Over time the guardianship of the children changed several times.

In 1870 the family was located in Falls River, Wilson County, Kansas. Later they moved back to Missouri by 1872 they were living in Taney County, Missouri. There Calvin joined the church. He died December 24, 1878 on Pneumonia Fever.

I have not found Sarah on a census since 1850. Their children William H. , S. J. , and Elizabeth I have small successes at locating but have not proved the findings at this time.
