Ellenville,- Dec. 1.-Frederick Calvin Mansfield died at the Veterans' Hospital in the Bronx, New York city, after a year's illness at the age of 43 years. He had spent some time at the local hospital and was removed to New York 10 days ago. He was born in Ellenville August 21, 1896, the son of Henry and Marilla Mansfield. On April 7, 1927,' he married Miss Mildred Alexander and they made their home on Canal street. Mr. Mansfield was in the army during the World War and .was a member of George D. Cook Post of the American Legion. Surviving besides his wife are a son, Thomas, and a daughter, May; two brothers. Robert and Bevier Mansfield of Briggs Highway and one sister, Mrs. Cora Wells, of Ellenville. Funeral services were held on Monday at the Pulling Funeral Home, the Rev. Olney E. Cook officiating. Members of the American Legion took part in the services at the grave and a firing squad fired a last salute. Interment was in the Pine Bush Cemetery.
