1850 Census (590): Boscawen, NH, 18, farmer, NH. 1860 Census (590): Boscawen, NH, 27, farmer, NH. 1861 May 11, enlisted as private at age of 28. 1862 May 1, promoted to Full Corporal. 1863 July 2, wounded at Gettysburg, PA 1864 May 16, wounded at Drewry's Bluff, VA. 1864 June 21, mustered out of Union army. Corporal Burbank served well in the 2nd New Hampshire Infantry, being wounded at the Battle of Gettysburg on 2 July 1863, then wounded a second time on 16 May 1864 when the unit was engaged at Drewry's Bluff, Virginia. As a result of his wounds, Corporal Burbank died young, 33 years old, in Manchester, NH, in April of 1866.
