Her three daughters came Sunday to spend the week with her, Mrs. Charles Hayes (Estella), Olathe, Kans., Mrs. Arnold Oswald (Jean), Redwood, Calif., Mrs. Larry Ball (Louise, Picacho, Ariz. Thursday a group of relatives, Mrms. Ralph Edwards, Homer Edwards, Mrms. Herman Evans, Mrms. Raymond Heather and Mrs. Ray Edwards joined them for a bountious birthday dinner and a day of visiting. Sunday the grandchildren of Mrs. Evans, Mrms. Bill Bradford, Charles Hayes jr., Paul Hayes, Olathe, Kans., Mrms. Bill Smotherman, Paola, Kans., Mrms. Robin Ball of Trenton, Mrms. Francis Ball of Kansas City, Kans.; a great granddaughter, Mrs. Mike Manson, and Mr. Manson, Shawnee, Kans.; Charles Hays Sr., Olathe, Kans. Callie E. Evans, 95, died Friday at a Maysville nursing home. Born in Woodlawn, Va., she moved to Caldwell County in 1902 and spent the remainder of her life in Caldwell County. Mrs. Evans was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Crystabelle Gene Oswald, Redwood, Calif., and Louise Ball, Tuscon, Ariz.; a brother, Homer Edwards, Cameron; two sisters, Pearl E. Greene, Cameron and Elizabeth Bessie King, Dallas, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge cemetery. Celebration Hamilton Advocate (dated 1975) Dinner Honors Mrs. Evans Mrs. Walter Evans observed her 88th birthday anniversary Saturday, Oct. 11. A dinner was served at her home Sunday to celebrate the occasion. Guests included a sister, Mrs. Pearl Green of Blackwell, Okla.; a brother, Homer Edwards and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Ralph Edwards and Mrs. Ray Edwards, of Hamilton; two nephews, Mrms. Robin Ball and Christopher of Trenton and Mrms. Butch Ball of Kansas City; two nieces, Mrs. Ione Plaska and Mrs. Beulah Ball of Kansas City. Afternoon callers were Mrms. Raymond Heather.
