List of Blount Co., AL residents who enlisted in Morgan's KY Cavalry - Co. "G", of the 2nd Kentucky Regiment (Colonel Duke's Regiment), under Capt. McFarland, of Morgan's Cavalry, commanded by John H. Morgan, C.S.A. Although this was a Kentucky regiment, 64 of its members were recruited in Blountsville, AL. The unit was active in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio. Many of the men were captured at Buffington Island on July 19 and the rest at New Lisbon, 26 July 1863. The Regiment was imprisoned at Camp Douglas, near Chicago, Illinois.
