Caleb was a son of Pilgrim Henry and Anne (Plummer) Sampson.

He marr. first, bef. 1686, Mercy Standish by whom he had David, Lora, Rachel, Priscilla, Caleb, Joshua, Ruth, Jerusha and Sarah.

CALEB, Duxbury, s[on]. perhaps youngest, of Henry, m[arried]. Mary, d[aughter]. of Alexander Standish, had, says Windsor, Rachel and Lora.

HENRY, Plymouth 1620, came in the Mayflower, of the fam[ily]. of his uncle, Edward Tilley, a youth too small to sign the immortal compact of Nov. at Cape Cod; but whether, or not, entit[led]. in the div[ision]. of l[an]ds. he was certain[ly]. in the div[ision]. of cattle, 1627, enumerat[ed]. in the comp. of Elder Brewster, liv[ing]. on Duxbury side, m[arried]. 6 Feb. 1636, Ann Plummer, had Stephen, John, James, Caleb, Elizabeth Hannah, Mary, and, perhaps, Dorcas, but when Bradford wrote, 1650, only seven ch[ildren]. and d[ied]. 24 Dec. 1684. Elizabeth m[arried]. Robert Sproat; Hannah m[arried]. Josiah Holmes; Mary m[arried. John Summers; Dorcas m[arried]. Thomas Bonney; and one d[aughter]. it is said, m[arried]. John Hammond, but he is not of my aquaint[ance].
