Monument Erected To Memory Of Local Man
A Monument to the Memory of Byron F Krumine former newspaper man of this city and later of Harrisburg who was drowned in Penns Creek September 4 1921 has been erected near the site of the drowning by Miss Lillian C Sheffer former state forestry official,whose family maintained a cabin near the spot of the drowning and who was Mr Krumrines companion on the day of the drowning.
The Monument is a ganister shaft taken from the mountain where near the drowning occurred. It is eight feet high four feet wide and eighteen inches thick an set in concrete.
An inset of marble in the ganister boulder bears the following inscription
