Notes Hamilton Advocate-Hamiltonian, Hamilton, Missouri May 2, 1940 DEATH OF B.H. COLBURN Death of B.H. Colburn, a well known elderly Kidder resident, passed away rather unexpectedly at his home Wednesday night. Mr. Colburn had not been well for some time. He is survived by Mrs. Colburn and two sisters, Mrs. Edith Voss of Fort Dodge, Iowa and Mrs. Ben Horn of Breckenridge. The funeral service for Mr. Colburn will be held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Kidder and interment will be made in the Kidder cemetery. Hamilton Advocate-Hamiltonian, Hamilton, Missouri May 9, 1940 IN MEMORIAM Byron Howe, son of Persis and Delos Colburn, was born at Elkhart, Indiana, May 22, 1862, and departed this life at his home in Kidder, Mo., May 1, 1940, aged 77 years, 11 months and 21 days. He was bereaved of his mother when but two years old. In 1877 he migrated with his family to Kidder, in or near which he lived the balance of his life. On February 24, 1897, he was married to Mary Ann Bonham, who died September 1931. November 11, 1933, he was married to Kathryn Drumm. He had no children of his own but became foster father to two of his wife's sisters, Josephine and Daisy Bonham. One sister and one brother preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, also by two sisters Mrs. Edith Voss of Fort Dodge, Iowa; and Mrs. Hattie Horn of Breckenridge, Mo., also one half brother Ira and two half sisters Ina and Lillian; one nephew, Edward Voss and one niece Mrs. Ethel Mix, both of Fort Dodge, Iowa, besides numerous friends and admirers.
