PARENTS: Andrew Jackson Arbogast and Dora Alice Bond Arbogast.

SIBLINGS: Roy E., Ona, Nora, Clark Clay, Shirley, Hurley, Audie W., Harold L., and Nelli. Burl was their fifth child.

SPOUSE: He married Hazel Mary Selter in Pawhuska, Oklahoma on Sept. 15, 1917. (Book 3, p. 560 of Marriage Books of Osage County, Oklahoma)

MILITARY: Burl enlisted in the United States Army on Sept. 13, 1916 and served with the Third Engineer Train, 36th Division, on the Mexican/U.S. border. He discharged in Feb. 1917 and returned to work in the oil fields. On August 13, 1917 he returned to service in World War I and battled in the St. Michael offensive Sept. 12-18, 1918; the Meuse Argonne on Sept. 26th thru Nov. 11, 1918; and then served in occupation and discharged June 18, 1919 from the 36th Division, U.S. Army.
