Burchell Butts Burchell Merry Butts, 60, who had lived in Modesto all of his life, was dead on arrival at a local hospital today, an apparent heart attack victim. 

    He was a field man for California Vegetable Concentrates Inc.
    Survivors include his widow Frances; a daughter Juanita E. Braden of Modesto; a sister Ramona Sprague, and a brother, Alvin, both of San Francisco, and three grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the Franklin and Downs Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery.
