d. unnamed male KING, September Quarter 1872, Luton Registration District, Volume 3b, page 268, aged 0 [1871/2]
Although the death was registered the quarter before the birth, this does sometimes happen - deaths have to be registered within five days, whereas six weeks is allowed for registering a birth. The death certificate would need to be obtained to confirm it is the same person, but no son of Edward and Ann appears with them in the censuses born around 1872, nor are there any deaths of named King boys between 1872 and the 1881 census in the Luton district who would plausibly related to this birth.
