Researcher of Martz family line states:
Boaz was buried (1823) in Hill's Emanuel Cemterey, Franklin Twp, Westmoreland Co, PA. He lived in Byberry, Philadelphia Co., PA before moving to Northampton Co., PA. In 1787 Boaz of Penn Twp. bought 199 acres on Mahoning Creek. In 1795 Boaz, wife Mary and most of their children move to Westmoreland Co. PA.
William Martz, along with Nicholas Martz, who married Amy Walton, Mary Ann Walton's sister, are listed in an account filed by Joseph Walton, one of the administrators of the estate of Boaz Walton. These records are filed at the courthouse in Greensburg, Westmoreland Co., PA.
William Marts and wife Mary Ann Walton, are both mentioned in a Release of the Boaz Walton Heirs to Joseph and Boaz Walton, Jr.

- ↑ Boaz is on the tax list of Bibury Twp 1769 for 70 Acres 3 horses 3 cattle and was taxed 9.4.0. Thoese 70 acres had been part of his father's estate , deeded to Boaz Nov. 13, 1764 by brother Joseph, and in 1776 the land was sold to Joseph Hallowell for 500 pounds.
Boaz moved, probably about the time he sold in Byberry, to Northampton Co., where May 5, 1787 Boaz of Penn Twp received from Nicholas Waln of Philadelphia, 199 acres on Mahoning Creek for 200 pounds. March 11, 1794 Boaz was warrantee of 200 acres in Northampton Co., and Apr 23, 1808 Boaz of East Penn Twp & wife Mary deeded two tracts there to Andrew Heller of Lwer Saucon Twp, that from Waln and one of 206 acres patented to Boaz Feb. 9 1795, all for 1500 pounds. Heller gave a mortgage but failed to pay, so after some at least had been sold to Andrew Fritz, then to Thomas Walton, then to Lewis Enke in a barter, the sheriff sold it for debt. Penn Twp tax lists show that in 1785 Boaz had 180 acres 2 horses 3 cattle and was taxed 17.6, for 1786 he had 210 acres 2 horses 3 cattle and was taxed 17.0, in 1788 Boaz had 180 acres 2 horses 4 cattle and was taxed 14.0. Around the end of the century, Boaz moved with most of his family to Westmoreland Co., PA. The history of the county says he was an early settler, took up 200 acres in what became Penn Twp, was exposed to savages who frequently visited his home, but was not molested.
