When Blanche married S Goldstone her father disowned her. When Goldstone died, her father told her to change her name back to Wetherill, along with her sons', and she would be welcomed back into the family. She did. So James Wetherill Goldstone became James Wetherill and Roy Beverly Goldstone became Roy Beverly Wetherill.

Blanche later married Edwin Swartley. Blanche's son James & Edwin never got along and soon had a falling out which is when James then went to live with neighbors, Joseph & Theresa Bracken. He later took their surname as a middle name so that when he died he was known as James Bracken Wetherill.
