Decatur County Journal January l3, l9l6 OBITUARY ~ ~ ~ BLANCHE ROBERTS was born at Westerville, Iowa, March 3l, 1890, died at the home of her parents, MR. and MRS. T.R. ROBERTS, near Decatur City, Iowa, December 31, 1915, aged 25 years and 9 months. The deceased was united in marriage to LOREN V. TULLIS, of Decatur City, at Benton, Iowa, on April 4, 1915. MRS. TULLIS was a beautiful and charming young woman, loved by all who knew her, and her death came as a great shock to her relatives and friends. She had not been feeling well for about a week, but it was not realized that she was in a serious condition until two days before her death. She had gone to the home of her parents for a holiday visit. The bereaved husband, parents and other relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of everyone in their sore bereavement. Her young life had been one of extreme usefulness, and the few months of married life had all been honeymoon. Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church in Decatur City on New Year's Day, conducted by Rev. Teeters, Pastor of the Christian Church at Kellerton. The floral offerings were many and beautiful and a vast concourse of sorrowing friends attended the services. Interment was in the Decatur Cemetery.
