Refers to 1928 operation for breast tumor; autopsy performed; causes: multiple carcinomatosis [onset 1928], secondary to carcinoma of breast; pulmonary embolus 9-16-1931; and iliac phlebitis. Dr Charles A POINDEXTER of Evanston attended her from 5 to 19 Sep 1931. Parents names and birthplaces "not known"; burial at Ivanhoe, 22 Sep 1931.

Lake County [IL] Independent Register, Thurs 24 Sep 1931: "Mrs E A RANSOM, resident of Ivanhoe for many years, died in an Evanston hospital last Saturday morning following a serious illness. Mrs A Edson RANSOM, nee Blanche KIRK, born in Marquette, Wisc 28 Sep 1875. At the age of 8 years she became a member of the HANDY household. She was married 11 Sep 1895 in Mundelein and cared for Mrs Louese HANDY until her death in 1928. She is survived by her husband, 6 sons, Harold, Howard, Richard, Robert, James and Daniel, 1 daughter Mrs Louese FREAR, and one daughter, Millicent, passed away several years ago, age 8. Buried Ivanhoe."
