Obituary from The Messenger, Gadsden, AL, July 9, 2003: TULLIS, BILLY "JOE"

Graveside services were held Friday, June 27, 2003 at Fairview Cemetery for Mr. Billy ?Joe? Tullis, age 58, of Gadsden, who died Wednesday, June 25, 2003. The Rev. Bruce Word officiated. Collier-Butler Funeral Home directed.

Mr. Tullis was a lifelong resident of Gadsden. He was an auto appraiser for 10 years and had been the manager of the body shop at Crown Motors for 9 years prior to November 2002. He was a member of CrossPoint Community Church having been saved by the Grace of God thru Rev. Bruce Word on March 6, 2001. Mr. Tullis was preceded in death by his mother: Naomi Tullis; and brother: Dale Tullis.

Mr. Tullis is survived by his wife: Jan Tullis; sons: Jeffrey Tullis, Jeremy Tullis, Todd Tullis and Tyler Tullis; daughter: Amy (Wendell) Clark; step-son: David (Michelle) Hart; step-daughter: Marie (Kevin) Jordan; grandchildren: Katelyn Clark and Dagan Clark; father: Frank Tullis.

Pallbearers were Jerry Deal, Rick Franklin, Butch Whitt, Lewis Easterwood, Larry and James Collins.

Honorary Pallbearers were Dr. K.J. Shah, John Stevens, Richard Hayes and all personal friends.
