PORT CLINTON -- Billy A. Klotz, 76, of Port Clinton died Sunday, March 28, 2004, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, South Campus, after a brief illness.

He was a lifelong resident of Sandusky, where he was born on Nov. 3, 1927. Bill attended Margaretta High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during World War II. He retired in 1979, after 30 years of service from New Departure-Hyatt, a division of GM. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church, Port Clinton; American Legion Post 83 of Sandusky; Sandusky Eagles AERIE No. 444; and the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his wife, Judith "Judy" (Havener) Klotz; two daughters, Paulette Loach of Sandusky, Linda Klotz of Bellevue; three sons, Barry and George Klotz both of Sandusky, Timothy Klotz of Vickery; three stepsons, Tracy Colston of Port Clinton, Timothy Colston of Fremont, Paul Colston of Albany, Oregon; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie Worcester of Huron and Joyce Barnard of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and one brother, Donald Klotz of Castalia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude & Beulah (Keller) Klotz; one granddaughter, Susan Loach; and one grandson in infancy.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 30 at the David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, O

Services: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday morning, March 31 at the funeral home. Rev. Gene A. Smith will be officiating.

Burial: Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH.
