FORTNER BETTYE SUE, was born April 23, 1924 and passed away March 26, 2004. She is survived by her husband Clarence Lee Fortner, sons Donnie Arnold and wife Dorothy, and Johnny Arnold; daughter Bitsie Adams; sister Lucyle Middleton; 11 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday March 29, 2004 from 1:00 p.m. until Service time at Jeter & Son Chapel; the Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Note: Bettye Sue Fortner was Bettye Sue Bickers, daughter of Elyhu Taylor Bickers & Evans Lucyle Grant, and sister of Eloise Lucyle Bickers Middleton. Her son's name was James Donald Arnold III. She was operated on 4 years previously for both breast cancer and left lung cancer; however, she died of rightlung cancer and the left lung cancer had recurred. Within the last 6 days of her life, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. She was buried in the new Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, TX.
