OBITUARY FROM BURLNGTON TIMES-NEWS: GREENSBORO — Miss Betty Ruth Isley, 70, of 925 New Garden Road, died at 5:40 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at Friends Home Guilford in Greensboro after several months of failing health. A native Guilford County, she was the daughter of Mr. Luther Lafayette Isley Sr. and Mrs.. Mary Huffines Isley, both deceased. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs.. Rebecca Isley and Mrs.. Sarah (Bob) Foster, both of Greensboro and Mrs.. Mary Lou Windsor of Winston-Salem; and a brother, Mr. Luther Isley of Burlington. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Friendship United Methodist Church by the Rev. Alvin Horne, pastor. The family will be in the church parlor from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Friday.
