Betty Jewel Ipock Crumrin, 84, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at her home.
A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Betty was born on March 16, 1936, in Morehead City, NC, to the late Harley and Clara Ipock, and graduated from Morehead City High School in 1954. After high school, she worked for Olin Corporation in Covington, Indiana where she met her husband, Reno, and they were married in 1964. Later in life, she obtained her real estate license and enjoyed that as a second career.
Betty loved gardening and animals; she always had a warm welcome to any furry friends she met. She was an amazing cook and was happy to show her love to her family by making delicious meals. Betty had a strong belief in the Lord and was an active member at First Baptist Church in Covington when she lived there. More than anything, she loved her family, especially her great and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Conkright and husband Doug of Newport; granddaughters, Kimberly Hernandez-Conkright and husband Oscar and Nicole Gonzalez-Conkright and husband José, all of Murray, Kentucky; and great-grandchildren, Joel, John, James, and Aria.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reno C. Crumrin; and siblings, Lillian Stewart, Pansey Garner, Ann Bunch and Richard Wilson.
