Her father was a gambler and was shot and dugthrough town behind a horse, her mother then abandoned her and she wastaken in and raised by the Bush family. Betty always used the last nameof Bush after that, but it is not known if there was an actual legaladoption. Years later, Betty's son, Harry, looked up his biologicalgrandmother. He knocked on her door and told her he was the son of herdaughter Betty. This woman quickly shut the door in his face and wouldnot speak to him, her own grandson

Henry got intosome financial trouble and Frank P Geiseck took over the farm and itspayments. Frank never lived there, but allowed his newly wedded son,Harry Ray to occupy the house. Harry and Frank farmed the land together

They lived theretwo years, before moving into the big Brick across the street. In thejoint farming venture of Harry Ray and his father, Frankling P, cattlewas raised at this original old house farm. Another family, the Blacks,added on a garage and breezeway to the back of the original home. Butthe rest of the house is as it was back in the early days of Harry'slifetime. The room on the back of the home was a summer kitchen. Thisphoto of the home was taken in 2005.
