Betty A. Trusty July 23, 1931-Oct. 6, 2009 Betty A. Trusty, 78, La Porte, passed away at 4 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 6, 2009) at home. She was born July 23, 1931, in La Porte to George and Bernice (Zimmerman) Fox, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 21, 1952, in La Porte, she married Douglas Trusty. Betty was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, La Porte. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and volunteering at La Porte Hospital. She loved animals, reading books and was a loving mother and grandmother. Surviving are three sons, Mark (Sue) Trusty, La Porte, Texas, Craig (Doreen) Trusty and Shannon (Allene) Trusty, both of La Porte; one brother, Doug (Judy) Fox, Elkhart; seven grandchildren, Todd, David, Amanda, Tara, Colleen, Robbie and Calvin; and five great grandchildren. Cremation is planned. A private burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, La Porte. A memorial Mass will be celebrated in her honor at 9 a.m. on Psalm Sunday, March 28, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, La Porte. Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, La Porte, is handling the arrangements.
