Mrs.. Betty C. Hanner BURLINGTON — Mrs.. Betty Coble Hanner, 87, of 6345 N.C. 62 South, died at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 1999, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro after a sudden illness.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Virgil Oscar “Doc” Hanner and the daughter of Mr. William Washington Coble and Mrs.. Lillie Shoffner Coble, both deceased. She retired from Kayser-Roth Corp. She was a member of Low’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs.. Dorothy Phipps of McLeansville and Mrs.. Ann Holt of Burlington.

The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Low’s Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will be at the home. The body will be taken to the home at 4 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to Low’s Lutheran Church Cemetery Endowment Fund, 2136 N.C. 61, Liberty, N.C. 27298.
