Obituary: The Augusta Chronicle January 19, 2002: HOLLISTER, Fla. - Betty Joyce Carl Tullis, 73, entered into rest Thursday, January 17, 2002, at Palatka Community Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Robert Curtis Tullis. She was preceded in death by a son, Micharl Carl Usry. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Monday, January 21, 2002, at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Survivors are her husband, Robert Curtis Tullis of Hollister; father, C.P. Carl of Augusta; two granddaughters, Christine Robertson and Michelle Self; four great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and a cousin, Sarah Taylor of Martinez. Mrs. Tullis was a homemaker and a native of Augusta. Poteet Funeral Home, 529 Green Street, Augusta, is in charge of arrangements.
