This daughter is left out of the Peck Gen., prob. because it is not on the Swansea records with the rest, but is to be found on the Plym. Col. Rec. with date of birth, and her marriage to Josiah Dean is on Rehoboth Rec. In her father’s will the wife of Josiah Dean is mentioned but without giving her name. Later in the will he gives to “daughter Dean” and to “daughter May,” but unfortunately someone made an error and wrote “Mary,” so the compiler of the Genealogy concluded she must be the one who married Josiah Dean, so added Mary to the list of children, and stated that she was the wife of Josiah Dean. Fortunately we have now more sources of information than he had and are thus able to correct the error and have done so in giving the will. There were only the three daughters, Mehitable Whittaker, Deliverance May and Bethia Dean.
