Bessie JONES, TB # 213A, was the only member of the tree, from #(201) & up, who could read Welsh. Her grandparents came from "Pwlldu" near Conway, North Wales, British Isles, and emigrated to the US in 1856. Of the four brothers and sisters who sailed from Liverpool, her mother, 13 yrs old, was the only one to set foot in the US. The other three died of cholera on the ship. She is a distant relative of (#219a)
