Bess Lambuth Lewis Simpsonville

Bess Lambuth Lewis, 88, died July 2, 2005, in Simpsonville, S.C.

Bess Lambuth Lewis was born on Sept. 21, 1916, and retired as manager of the Mississippi Unemployment Security Commission, Natchez, Miss., office. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Fountain Inn, S.C.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by two sons, Dr. James Lambuth Lewis and wife, Susan, of Tullahoma, Tenn., and John South Lewis and wife, Jan, of Simpsonville, S.C. Also surviving Mrs. Lewis are grandchildren, Lisa Lewis Jones of Atlanta, Amy Lewis Hyams of Nashville, Megan Lewis Eidt of Tupelo, Miss., John South Lewis II of Greenville, and Fletcher Lambuth Lewis of Arlington, Va. She is also survived by a number of great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted in Natchez, Miss. -- Cremation Society of SC.
