Obituary MRS. BERTHA STROUSE

 Mrs. Bertha Strouse, 94, of Stevensville, died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Berrien County hospital, Berrien Center, where she had been a patient the past few months.
  She was a resident of the Oles Homestead for the Aged, Royalton township, prior to entering the hospital.  She had been ill the past few years.
  Mrs. Strouse was born in Chicago, Feb. 2, 1871.  She had lived here the past 40 years, coming from Chicago.  Her husband, Henry, who she married in Chicago on June 1, 1908, died on Oct. 23, 1947.  She was also preceded in death by a son, John, and two daughters, Mrs. Valentine Reschked and Mrs. Bertha Clemensen.
  Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Ellen) Burns of Stevensville and Mrs. Andrew (Julia) Werger of Detroit; three sons, Leroy, Lester and Wesley Strouse, all of Chicago and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the Kerlikowske, Starks & Beatthy funeral home, St. Joseph.  The Rev. Harold Zink, pastor of St. Pauls' Lutheran church, Stevensville, will officiate.
   Burial will be in the Stevensville cemetery.

Cause of death was arteriosclerosis.
