Aunt Bertha had many cats. Correction: Ruth (Hasse) Tisdall says: "No cats but many furry white pooddles living in the kitchen. Their working kitchen was in the basement--cool in the summer and warm in winter. No A.C. at that time. Correction! Ed Reisland says, no she did have cats--they were angora cats. She had a parlor that had a tapestry kind of wallpaper that felt thick. One day she went away and two of the cats got mad and tore the drapes off the hangers and ripped them to shreds. Ed also remembered that they would use their sitting room when the preacher came---all the other company would be entertained in the basement.
