The preponderance of evidence suggests that Benskje and Haring are the children of Rintje Harings and Pietje Johannes, but there are some areas of concern. There are also reasons to be skeptical that the marriage with Hiske Lieuwes pertains to the same Haring.

Concerns:

• Neither the overlijdensakte for Benskje nor the overlijdensakte for Haring name the parents.
• The age at death for Benskje of 68 suggests a birth year of 1762, not such a good match for the doopakte year of 1760.
• The name on the earlier doopakte is Bens, not such a good match for Benskje.

Positives:

• The trouwakte for Benskje explicitly names her brother Haring.
• The two overlijdensakten specify two people very close in age, consistent with their being siblings.
• Even though neither used the surname Wagenaar in their overlijdensakte, her children refer to her as Wagenaar (e.g. hereand his daughter refers to herself as Wagenaar (e.g. here).
• The remarriage of Hiske Lieuwes in 1814 is consistent with her having been widowed in 1811, and the 1814 huwelijksakte explicitly names Haring Rintjes.
