Identity

The History of Lyndeborough calls Benjamin White of Dedham. There was a Benjamin White, school teacher in Dedham in 1746. He married Mary Little in 1748/49 and according to "Aaron and Moses Lewis" in the Dedham Historical Record, Aaron Lewis married "Sarah White, b. Feb. 8, 1750-1, and d. May 16, 1804, aged 54 years, dau. of Benjamin and Mary ( ) White of Stoughtonham, Mass., who moved from Dedham to Stoughton after the birth of their son Benjamin." The birth of Benjamin's dau Mehitable is record in the Sharon Mass VR, as Stoughtonham became Sharon, Mass (2nd district of Stoughton in 1740, district of Stoughtonham 1765, and incorporated as Sharon 1783).
