16 Sep 1762 (warrant 30 Aug 1762): Inventory of Benjamin Wheten Late of Leicester Deces'd: £857:16:1, by Daniel Henshaw, Thomas Wheeler, Oliver Witt. 17 Nov 1762: additions: total: £905:4:6 3/4. Includes "sundrys in the possession of Sarah Wheting" [daughter?].
12 Mar 1764: Account of Ebenezer Kent Adm'r of Benjamin wheaton Late of Leicester Cooper Dec'd, allowed, balance to John Wheaton Sarah Wheaton & Christopher Wheaton. Includes payment of £72.16.3 to Sarah Wheaton [daughter?].
26 Mar 1766: Division of real estate divided among his Children [widow's thirds crossed out in warrent] being two sons and one Daughter (viz) John Christopher and Sarah: to John Wheaton oldest son; to Christopher Wheaton the other son; to Sarah only daughter. Countersigned by John Wheten, Daniel Hubbard guardian to Christopher, John Earll and Sarah Earll.
[Note: there is no sign of a widow in this probate, no rejection of administration, no thirds set off, never a mention of a widow. Presumably the references to Sarah Wheaton are to the daughter since Benjamin is not known to have had a wife named Sarah. After Benjamin's death but before the division of real estate she had married, as the judge's decree in 1766 names "Sarah Earl wife of John Earl" as one of the children of the deceased.]
