“Benjamin F. Waters, 91, World War II veteran

Benjamin Franklin Waters, 91, of Smyrna died Monday, July 30, 2007. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna, with the Rev. Doyle McWhorter officiating. Burial will be in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Waters served in the Army during World War II. He retired from Marta for over 33 years in body repair. He was a member of the Leland Masonic Lodge in Mableton. He was a Mason for over 50 years. He was a member of Spring Street Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Benjamin F. Waters Jr. of Temple; and James Waters of Marietta; one daughter, Marie Cox of Austell; and seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.”
