- I Benjamin Smith being in a low state of health but of sound mind and memory… I give to my daughter Rebecca Chapman an equal part of my property or an equal part of the money after the property is sold and expenses paid. I give to my daughter Mary Agnew an equal part of property or money. I give to my daughter Hanah Adams an equal part of property or money and one loom, one pair of stillards, and one looking glass. I give to my daughter Elizabeth McKinney an equal part of my property or money. I give to my son James Smith an equal part of my property or money with my daughters except Hanah Adams . I give to my son Job Smith an equal part of Property or money with my son James Smith. I give to my son Jonathan Smith an equal part of property or money with his brothers. I give to my son William Smith an equal part of my property or money. I give to my son David Smith an equal part of my property or money. I give to my son Sidney Smith an equal part of property or money. I also give him my still. I appoint my sons James Smith , William Smith , and Elijah Adams executers. Dated this 18th April 1834.

12. Benjamin Smith (Job , David ) was born about 1750 in York Co., PA. He died May 1834 in Pickens District, SC.
Benjamin married (1) Elizabeth Simmons, daughter of Charles Simmons and Elizabeth Day.
Benjamin also married (2) Ruth Lindley, daughter of James Lindley and Mary Cox.
They had the following children:

- 50 F ii Elizabeth Smith. Elizabeth married Hugh McKinney on 10 Apr 1810 in Pendleton District, SC.
- + 51 M iii James Smith was born 1789 and died 23 Jan 1845.
- 52 M iv Sidney Smith. Sidney married Elizabeth Osborn. (Note: it appears that a different Sidney Smith married Elizabeth Osborn, more research necessary).
- 53 F v Hanna Smith. Hanna married Elijah Adams.
- 54 M vi Job Smith.
- 55 M vii Jonathan Smith.
- 56 M viii David Smith.
- 57 M ix William Smith.
