  Married Elizabeth Pearson in 1825.
  Moved to vicinity of the new Friends settlement at Ackworth in Warren Co., IA. By about 1854 they moved further west to Bear Creek. Mentioned several times in D.B. Cook's "Memoirs of the Quaker Divide." At the time of the Separation amon Friends in Bear Creek Quarter in 1877, he cast his lot with the Conservative Friends, although most of his children went with the Progressives.
