[edit] Probate of Benjamin SeverBenjamin Sever died intestate, and his probate records are provided in the "Suffolk County Probate Records," (Volume 44, page 226). John Davis and Thomas Mayo, both of Roxbury, were appointed administrators on 29 January 1750. At this time, the court directed an inventory of the tracts of land owned by Benjamin Sever of Roxbury, husbandman, in Hardwick, Worcester County. On 23 April 1751, the Estate of Benjamin Seaver was declared insolvent (Volume 45, page 31). Commissioners were appointed (Volume 65, page 71). On 25 September 1751, two thirds of 100 acres of land and one and one-half acres of meadow lying in Leicester, Worcester County, being the estate of Benj. Sever, late of Roxbury, yeoman, deceased undivided, with the other third part belonging to Sarah Seaver, of Roxbury, sister of the deceased (Volume 65, page 228). References
